YOUTAITE FOOD WARS
Prepare Your Dishes!

Chefs from all over will call on their culinary skills to face off against one another to prepare delicious masterpieces. They’ll battle it out in an Appetizer round, an Entrée round, and a Dessert round. The challenge is to utilize 4 key ingredients given to them in the final dish. They may not all work well together, upon first glance, but they must be present in the dish. Those who can slice and dice their way into the hearts of our judging panel will win a (not so) life-changing culinary (ish) prize!

GENERAL INFORMATION

How the CB Works!

There are 3 courses in total. Each course will last for 5 weeks. This is an elimination and bracket-style competition.

  • Deadlines will not be extended under any circumstances.

  • There will be a 12 hour grace period.

    • 2 points will be deducted for every hour that your entry is late. You can lose a total of 24 points.

    • If you show screenshot proof of a render crash or some sort of after effects problem then we will allow you to render up to 1 hour into the grace period without penalty. However, past 1 hour, you will accumulate penalty points again.

  • JUDGING will take approximately 2 weeks depending on the number of participants and the schedule of the judges.

The 3 rounds will be called a Full Course Meal. Individual rounds are called Appetizer (R1), Entrée (R2), and Dessert (R3).

  • Each round, every group is presented with the same 4 key ingredients. They’re NOT optional. If you do not finish or incorporate one of the ingredients into your entry, you will be deducted 1.5 points for each ingredient, totaling 6 points for missing all of them.

  • The key ingredients may be incorporated into your dish however you’d like to incorporate them. Think outside the box! They don’t have to be taken literally.

This competition is NOT a full-length cover competition. Groups will be doing TV-Short covers. Judge critiques or comments will always be provided. However, in the case of a large number of participants, critiques/commentary may be less detailed/vaguer and clarification on anything written will be up to the participants.

Since this is a bracket-style competition, that means every group will be going against a different group each course. The matchups will be randomly generated.

  • The group with the highest overall score between a pair will win the chance to move forward. However, in the case of a large number of participants, there will also be an average course score. The winning groups from each matchup MUST meet the average score to go to the next course. So, that means that you could still get dropped even if you won the matchup.

At the end of the competition, the final team with the highest overall points will be the first place winners. The second highest score will get the runner up prize.
